The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to postgraduate engineering and science programs in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Science (IISc), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other leading engineering colleges and universities in India.

The GATE Online Form 2024 is now available for eligible candidates to apply for the exam. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 3-4 and 10-11, 2024.

• Last date to apply online (Phase I): September 29, 2023
• Last date to apply online (Phase II with late fee): October 13, 2023
• Correction date: November 7-11, 2023
• Exam date: February 3-4 and 10-11, 2024
• Admit card available: January 3, 2024
• Result declared: March 16, 2024

GATE Online Form 2024 Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the GATE exam, candidates must have passed or be appearing for the final year of their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)/Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)/Master of Science (M.Sc.)/Master of Arts (M.A.)/Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree or equivalent.

Application fee

The application fee for the GATE exam is as follows:

• General / OBC / EWS: INR 1800
• SC / ST / PH: INR 900
• All category female: INR 900
• Phase II with late fee:
  • General / OBC / EWS: INR 2300
  • SC / ST / PH: INR 1400
  • All category female: INR 1400
