What is UDAN scheme?

  • Under the scheme, the government is keen to give regional connectivity to the country. According to the plan its flights will cover a maximum of 800 km.
  • Under this scheme, 43 cities of the country are connected with flights. Along with this, approximately 12 such airports will be added, which are running irregularly. With this, 31 such places will be activated, where the airport is but it can not be used.
  • Air India Subsidiary Alliance became the first Air Line, which operated the airplane between Delhi and Shimla under this scheme. Alliance Air will carry a 48-seater ATR-42 regular  flight under this scheme. All these flights will be of economic class.
  • Airfare on these routes for regional flights will be Rs. 2500 for 1 hour.

Airfare and Implementation

Under this plan the legislature will diminish the flight charge and will make air terminals at numerous spots where the airplane terminal isn’t at present accessible. National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana

Hriday Full form is Heritage City Development & Augmentation Yojana. The Yojana was Launched on January 21, 2015. The reason for the scheme is to protect the heritage and Monuments in India. Motive to launch the scheme is to preserve and revitalise soul of the heritage of different cities of India.

Objectives of Hriday Yojana

As per the Project HRIDAY. It will focus for the development of the Heritage. Along the Scheme the conservation of the Heritages will also be ensured. The project development will include the rehabilitation of the monuments, ghats, temples etc. Urban Structure of the Heritage will also be under the scheme. Cleaning of the Monuments, public transport facilities and the projects for the development of the roads. The Project will revive the  intangible assets.

As under the HRIDAY Project , it will focus for the development of the cities. The time duration set for the completion of the Project is 4 Years. Budget of Rs.500 Crore is announced by the central government for the yojana.

Hriday Yojana Purpose

Purpose of the HRIDAY is as follows. It is for the Planing, Implementation and the development of the ghat and monuments of the heritage sites.

  1.  Development of the service and the basic service arrangement will be made under the scheme.
  2. Places of Heritage can be added to the Project.
  3. Under the Scheme HRIDAY development of the cultural and the Heritage building.

  4. Goods Subsidy for minimum potential  100 tonnes and maximum capacity of 30,000 tonnes will be given by the government under the scheme.
  5. Entrepreneurs to get the Licence by the State Warehousing Act.
  6. Godowns which have the capacity more than  1,000 tonnes should be accredited by the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC).
  7.  Pledge loan facility for the farmers.
  8. RBI/NABARD will set up the guidelines for the interest rates, loan amount and pledge period.

Subsidy Rates

The subsidy rate provided under the scheme is as follows:

  • Farmers and cooperatives will get the subsidy of 25% of a project’s cost for the subject ceiling on Rs.2.25 crores.
  • SC/ST entrepreneurs and the project based in the  hilly areas will get the subsidy of 33.33% of a project’s cost  for the subject to ceiling on Rs.3 crores.
  • For individuals, corporations 15% of a project’s capital cost subsidy for the subject ceiling of Rs.1.35 crores
  • Godowns’ renovation as per the NCDC set up will get the 25% of a project’s cost.
